What an amazing find in an otherwise dormant food scene! AJs offer anything but a regular menu. If deep fried oreos or blood and guts tempt you give this proudly kiwi institution a try. There's a range of fish on offer and burgers are a popular alternative. The seated eating area offers welcome relief on a windy day.

Delightful lady who served me.
The premises was clean and friendly and the seafood basket the best we have had!!!
Light and crisp batter...everything was delicious. We live in NSW, I wish we had fish and chips this delicious at home 🏡!!

Lovely staff, and shop was spotless, hotdogs where served with tomato chutney sauce and delicious, chips where hot, unfortunately the snapper was dry, and the potato fritters seemed to be double battered, had a burger, but the beef patty was battered! 🤮, such a shame, as the burger was nice once we picked the batter off. We will definitely be back.

We've just arrived in Bunbury (Mum from NZ and me from Sydney) and decided on takeaway fish and chips while we watch the sunset. We were so excited to find a kiwi style fish and chip shop just down the road. I'm a kiwi who has lived in Sydney for 20+ years and I've never found any that remind me of home. These fish & chips were just what we needed! Great food, great service and also some kiwi drinks on offer to top it off. Such a great find - thanks AJ's Fish and Chips! (you can see in the pic I couldn't even wait and had to take a bite before I took a photo!)
